Have you looked around this Fall of 2017 and noticed all of the dead Pines? Leonard Mink, owner of Leonard Mink Tree Service says that unfortunately we haven’t seen the end of Hurricane Matthew’s damage. Due to the saltwater flooding intruding the root system and the internal stress caused by the high wind, many trees were “shocked” and could not recover. They might have looked okay for awhile, but then we started noticing during the hot summer months the Pine needles falling rapidly from the Pines. Leonard Mink says that unfortunately these beautiful trees were not salvable.
